OPENING PRAYER

Dear God, come into and abide in my heart. Strengthen my inner self with your presence. Help me live a righteous life as an example for my little one(s). – Rachel

THE REFRAIN

Lord, here I am. Isaiah 6:8 ESV

THE WORD OF GOD/A READING

Praying by Mary Oliver

It doesn’t have to be

The blue iris, it could be

Weeds in a vacant lot, or a few

Small stones; just

Pay attention, then patch

A few words together and don’t try

To make them elaborate, this isn’t

A contest but the doorway

Into thanks, and a silence in which

Another voice may speak.

THE REFRAIN

Lord, here I am. Isaiah 6:8 ESV

PRAYER

Lord, may I remember your goodness. You have great things in store for me, my baby, and my family. Teach me from observing my own small baby to be more childlike in spirit – quick to trust, quick to forgive, humble, and sincere. Let me stand in awe of you, wonderful Creator. – Rachel

CONCLUSION

A Collect for Guidance (BCP 82)

Heavenly Father, in you we live and move and have our being: We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you, but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
